NEW PROJECT PENDING…

I’m excited to announce that I’m working on a new project. This new project is a comic titled Vibe RN Radio, a story about young adults and 20-something-year-olds living in Los Angeles. It’s inspired by MTV’s animated show Downtown, Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim, and my own personal experiences. The story follows a 20-year-old artist named Pluto, struggling with feelings of originality, creativity, and how to navigate life as a small fish in the large sea that’s Los Angeles and social media. Like every other 20-year-old, she has friends, foes, and lots of things to learn.

As previously mentioned, I will be taking inspiration from my own life experiences as I feel like it’s easier to create from what you know vs. what you don’t. Creating comics has always been an aspiration of mine and I’ve always had crazy ideas for one-shots and lengthier stories.

The idea for Vibe RN Radio came to me randomly while I was listening to Tek It by Cafuné. I was obsessed with the song and wanted to make a playlist with songs that captured the same vibe. I titled the playlist Vibe RN Radio and the rest was history.

This is more of a personal project for me, so there’s no deadline or confirmed release date. I’m taking my time because I want to be proud of it. I’ve been doing a lot of research considering I’ve never drawn a comic before. So coming up with a consistent art style has been a bit of a challenge. I’ve also been reading lots of comics and manga lately to get an understanding of how to format the artwork. Although there isn’t a confirmed release date for the first chapter, I will be keeping you guys updated on all steps taken toward bringing the comic to fruition. This includes character designs, story ideas, etc.
